/johngotts that makes a lot of sense to me - i've been working free for years ;-)
-
/tim /salimane /michal - i've taken 15 minutes out of my site rework to add a group memberships list to the api. ..api/groups/memberships will return a list (xml or json) of the current logged in user's group memberships. Now -- back to adding those new cute little icons to replace the sidebar text lines, and (more importantly) for use in the list and mobi narrow site views to replace those nasty tabs.

/rahsheen /gwensutton
Ok - I don't believe it is breakable now -- if you enter some weird dtype you will no longer see a correspondingly weird sidebar ;-)
-
/rahsheen go to your chumly My Timeline and add "?dtype=full" to the end of the url in the address bar and press Enter to return to normal full display.
I am adding code to detect when a user enters a display type other than those allowed. There is a little confusion in the code if there is a display type set that is not a valid display type.
-
/rahsheen what browser do you use? (I know I asked before but you can tell me faster than I can find it ;-)

/myqute - Hi. Me (the programmer) again. It does not seem possible that your request limit could have been reached, when the (about 3 x ) errors occured an hour ago at your last posts -- based on what I see on your broadcasts page. The actual errors I saw in the log were like the following :
2010-09-03 04:45:39 220.255.7.216 LOG_WARNING: Facebook returned error code 0: (#341) Feed action request limit reached 2010-09-03 04:45:39 220.255.7.216 LOG_WARNING: Unable to update Facebook 644996767 status for myqute (user id: 55559)!
(644996767 is your facebook id at facebookand 55559 is your chumly userid - fyi.)
As I said before, I've never seen this error before. If you can shed any light on it, I'd appreciate it. It could have just been some strangeness over at facebook if they were tweeking their system. Sorry for the problem.

/myqute Hello. I'm a programmer on the chum.ly site and was just reviewing the site log. I noticed that your recent posts to facebook have been rejected by facebook because you reached some kind of limit over there. [ I was not aware of the limit, but for instance the twitter limit for posting through their 3rd party interface is something like 150 requests per hour, which includes tweets, and many other actions -- so it is quite a bit less than 150 tweets per hour.
I have never seen that error before and it is possible they have instituted some new limits recently. I could not find any doc at fb regarding the limit. fyi.
-
NOTICE - Based on the chum.ly log it appears that Twitter is not returning any data when we request it -- at the moment. I consider this a submerged fail whale condition, only affecting folks coming in through 3rd party apps. Maybe it is a little Twitter push back, but more likely something is broken over there.

/aditya /michal Aditya - what exactly is the error? The icons look correct to me.
-
/marc Welcome back! You will have to upload some of your trip photos (not the ones at the pubs).
-
/johngotts - I've been seeing some warnings in the log related to your imports. Unfortunately there were about 15 places that generated the same warning. So, I updated all of the places so I could tell which was seeing the problem It turned out that your blogspot account for johngotts user is not fully formed. It is missing the record that contains your validated google identity. You need to remove and redo your blogspot account setup.

Now that i have (in test) done the 'page' search for facebook, i understand why there are so many Barry Manilows.... He has a lot of pages for different aspects of his online presence -- such as album, website, band, etc. There might actually not be any imposters at all. BUT - a lingering question is how fb count number of fb users.
-
So, of the 22 Barry Manilow's, number 18 has photo with a woman at his side (might be wife ?) but still does not prove not imposter. One of the Barry's is a woman, and several have pics that are obviously legit other Barry's - not the singer. None of the user records are marked with any 'verification' status (which is an available field in the search results. 17 of the 22 have the singer's picture.
