About CHUM.LY

CHUM.LY is a privately held company with a new office, currently under construction in the heart of Palo Alto, California. CHUM.LY was started in June 2009 by the father and son team of John William and John Wright Gotts, who have been starting online companies together since 1993.

CHUM.LY is a quickly growing company in the real-time short & long messaging space and works over multiple networks and devices.

CHUM.LY is dedicated to making a better messaging service that is fast, intuitive and smart. CHUM.LY allows a user to broadcast their message over multiple social networks and blogs with a simple button click and can as easily receive updates from the user's favorite social sites.

With CHUM.LY a user can broadcast more than 140 characters with a link back to CHUM.LY to read the rest of the message. CHUM.LY also allows tagging posts, conversation threads, re-broadcasting messages and a user can easily add pictures, video links, and documents.

Here is a Talkshoe audio interview with John Gotts about Chum.ly that clearly describes how and why Chum.ly is different than Twitter in many good ways. [Note. The audio clip might take a minute or two to load.]
